 The Post-Normal Times is a new blog that provides reports and commentary on science-based environmental policy decisions. A special emphasis is on justifications provided for high stakes, complex and controversial decisions, the uses and abuses of uncertainty, and the demythification of science. Given that the relevance and therefore the quality of scientific information depends very much on the context to which it is applied, the PNT will also cover post-normal aspects of culture and politics, and seek out the kinds of information often missed in formal reports and normal news sources, for failure to fit into standard categories and well known story lines.
